Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people process and heal from trauma. When applied in couples therapy, EMDR helps both partners understand how past experiences are impacting their present relationship—and reprocess those wounds so they no longer drive disconnection, conflict, or pain.
